Since 1990, death tolls concerning substance overdose have tripled. That’s why, over the past few decades, rehabilitative treatments and centers are becoming accessible to the greater public to address the alarming rise of addiction statistics. The National Institute on Drug Abuse defines addiction as a “chronic disease” that is difficult to manage. But with NURTURING HANDS LLC, we promise better outcomes with our addiction treatment programs geared towards incorporating evidence-based rehabilitation.
Recognizing Signs of Addiction
Aside from the physical manifestations of drug addiction (such as having an unusual pair of bloodshot eyes), other signs can hint that this person is suffering from addiction. These signs include:
- Having a tolerance to a drug
- Exhibiting withdrawal symptoms once they are unable to use the drug
- Showing irritability and extreme/violent behaviors
- Ignoring personal hygiene
- Having problems with personal relations (family, friends, workmates, etc.)
- Struggling with completing tasks and keeping motivated
Types of Addiction Treatment Programs
Residential Inpatient Treatment
This program allows clients to undergo immersive rehabilitation by living in the treatment facility for a prescribed period. We designed this program to help clients gradually disengage from an unhealthy lifestyle and abstain from using substances at their own pace. We assign an addiction counselor and a case manager to each client to help them rebuild their career, family life, and social relations during the program.
Drug and Alcohol Detoxification
To ensure that our clients remain sober after completing our addiction treatment program, we help them manage any withdrawal symptoms that may arise. We link them to accessible drug and alcohol detox facilities around Maryland. Detoxification (along with therapy) is proven to be a successful treatment approach to addiction.
Case Management
Our case managers empower our clients to enjoy a better rehabilitation experience with services that involve assessment, planning, support, and advocacy work. Case management connects clients to helpful community resources for the whole duration of their rehabilitation: from the earliest phases of the treatment to the time when they achieve long-term sobriety.
Transition Program
Completing an addiction treatment program is a feature worthy of praise. To help clients continue with a life free of addiction, our center will offer continuous support and connect them with people who share a similar dedication to maintaining sobriety. With their newfound community, we hope for our clients to find empowerment that will last a lifetime.
